    • Is the system HIPAA compliant?

Absolutely. We prioritize patient confidentiality and data security. We encrypt all data in transit and at rest, ensuring our system is fully compliant with HIPAA regulations. Reach out to our support team if you have any specific questions about our HIPAA compliance.

    • Can the app integrate with my existing EHR system?

Our app is designed to work seamlessly with your existing EHR system. We summarize patient encounters into standard medical charting format, and make it easy to copy and paste into your charting system.

    • Who can use EncounterIQ?

Any healthcare provider that spends time charting can take advantage of EncounterIQ. Our app is designed to work for all types of providers, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. EncounterIQ is also useful for medical scribes and transcriptionists.

Use the EncounterIQ app to record your patient encounters. We'll securely upload your recordings, transcribe them, and build a chart in standard medical charting format.

    • What information is provided in the charting summary?

    • How many encounters can I record?

Your subscription covers unlimited use of the product. You can record and upload as many patient encounters as you need, and we will transcribe and build a chart them all.

    • How long does it take?

Encounters will be transcribed and a chart will be built within a few minutes of uploading.

    • How does the AI summarize encounters?

The AI analyzes the recording to highlight essential information and generate a comprehesive clinical chart ready for you to review and copy and paste into for medical records.

    • Is it legal to record patient encounters?

Yes, though it's always a good idea to let the patient know you're recording the visit for your notes. The law varies depending on the jurisdiction and nature of the recording. That being said, it's legal in 39 out of 50 states. In certain states, only one party's consent is enough to legally record a conversation, meaning a patient or a doctor can record the conversation regardless of whether the other party agrees. There are 11 states - California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, New Hampshire, Oregon, Pennsylvania, and Washington - in which both the clinician and patient must consent to record a conversation.
